Sage Goes Wire to Wire as the Spooky 200 Crowns Its Fifth Winner

SALEM, Ind. (Oct. 17, 2026) Five years. Five Spooky 200s. Five winners. On Saturday night, Josh Sage became the fifth winner of the 5th Annual Spooky 200, and he did it wire to wire, leading all 200 laps on the legendary high banks of Salem Speedway.

Sage rolled off 2nd in his #20 Crown Vic, took the point and never gave it up. The results are official following post-race technical inspection.

Sage is no stranger to the front at Salem. He is a returning Salem podium finisher, and Saturday he climbed all the way to the top step.

It was not a runaway at the finish. #66 Aaron Seay chased him to the checkered flag and came up just 0.171 seconds short. Seay started 5th and finished 2nd.

A caution on laps 138 and 139 put the field back in line late in the race. Sage kept the lead through it and held it the rest of the way.

Behind the top two, the Spooky 200 belonged to the movers. #45 John Lister started 33rd and charged all the way to 3rd, a gain of 30 spots. #0 Matt Johnson made the biggest climb of the night, starting 57th and finishing 6th.

#34C Chase Adams started 7th and finished 4th. #05 Daniel Durrett came from 10th to 5th. #44P Andy Perryman went from 28th to 7th, #83 Ricky Duvall Jr went from 31st to 8th, and #01K Korbin MaGee came from 35th to 9th.

A hat tip to #14 Drew Evans, who put on a show, starting 27th and finishing 10th.
